You would think that repairs would generally be easier than installing a new roof – well sometimes they are – but often they can be very tricky indeed. Most are temporary in nature but they can be done properly.
The first step in fixing a leak is to find out exactly what is causing the leak. Finding this can sometimes take longer than doing the actual repair! Basically, if the roofing contractor is not totally sure he found the cause – he probably didn’t and any work that was done was done in vain. Coastside Roofing has developed an exact process for finding and fixing leaks which is being turned into a manual for homeowners and contractors.
Finding the exact cause of the leak cannot be understated in importance. But doing the repairs properly is also very important. Non-standard repairs such as waterproofing materials or loads of sealant on metal roofs is a bad idea and can often end up making the problem worse or create a new problem. Sealants have their place, but the average roof repair man or handyman will tend to go overboard so it is important to get someone who knows what they are doing.

As a boudoir photographer, I’ve worked with women of every shape, size, and background—and still, the same words echo in the studio:
“I’m sorry for my body.”
“I just want to hide this part.”
“Can you Photoshop that out?”
And every time, my heart breaks a little.
It’s not because they aren’t beautiful. It’s because somewhere along the way, we were all taught to disconnect from our own reflection.
To criticize instead of celebrate. To hide instead of shine.
That’s why I’m launching Body Image Bootcamp at Alter Ego Boudoir.
Not just another retreat. Not just another confidence workshop.
This is about pulling back the curtain and getting honest about where our body image struggles come from—and how we begin to rewrite the script.
Originally created to fill a gap in mental and emotional support, Body Image Bootcamp is a space for women who don’t have a diagnosis but do live with daily body shame. For the givers, the caretakers, the high achievers who still hear that inner critic loud and clear. For the ones who cheer on everyone else but silently wonder, “Why can’t I love myself the way I love others?”
Now, I’m bringing it to life in my own way—with the heart, soul, and raw vulnerability you’ve come to expect from Alter Ego.

The Itenerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL + ALIGNMENT
Welcome to paradise.
You’ll arrive in stunning Puerto Vallarta and be whisked away to our private retreat home—yes, the kind of place that makes your nervous system instantly sigh with relief. All you have to do is show up.
Once you’re settled in, we’ll kick things off with a welcome dinner, soul-nourishing conversation, and a little playful intro to CliftonStrengths—because knowing how you're wired is part of owning who you are. This evening sets the tone for the transformation ahead.

Days 2–4: DO THE WORK, THEN PLAY
Each morning, we’ll dive deep into body image work through guided workshops led by me. We’ll use a mix of writing prompts, somatic practices, workbook exercises, and mind-body techniques that help you break up with old beliefs and build a new relationship with your reflection.
This is about truth-telling. Unlearning.
Reclaiming.
We’ll pace ourselves—with afternoons free for pool lounging, town exploring, journaling in the sun, or your own private boudoir shoot to capture the version of you that’s finally showing up.
You'll also have a 1:1 photoshoot with Cat —personal, powerful, and full of meaning.
We’ll wrap the workshop series with a joyful Glitter Graduation (don’t worry—it’s biodegradable, just like the things you’ll be shedding this week).

Day 5: SELF-CARE + CELEBRATION
Our last full day is all about honoring how far you’ve come.
Enjoy a slow morning with optional massages, then head out to the beach for a few hours of sun, waves, and sandy toes. You can join Beth for a casual town tour, stay at the house to rest, or snap some golden hour magic with your new friends.
This day is your call: rest, create, or play. Whatever your soul needs, that’s what you’ll do.

Day 6: GOODBYES + INTEGRATION
We’ll hug, maybe cry (let’s be real, probably cry), and send you off with more than just memories. You’ll leave with new tools, new friendships, and a renewed connection to your body and self.
And yes, we’ve got your ride to the airport all arranged. You just handle the glow.

Because the content of Body Image Bootcamp is so heavy, we have scheduled a lot of downtime and taking breaks. We find that much of the work happens when you have time to percolate or discuss with your fellow members after the learning has happened.
We will also have our late afternoons/evenings free to explore, go to the beach or just relax and enjoy the sunset.
There will be no shortage of tacos and good times.
