I’m Alyssa, I’m 27 and getting married in a pandemic! I’m a dental hygienist, and I adore what I do! I’m a cat momma and I am working so very hard everyday to love myself for me. I absorb energies like a sponge so I’m trying to surround myself with positivity but also trying to be that positivity someone else might need. I’m learning and growing and changing with every day this experience has done wonders for my confidence!
Before your shoot - what do you remember thinking/feeling? How was your planning? Would you do anything differently?
Haha. I had no time to think about planning because I booked it the night before my shoot. I guess I was a little nervous but honestly more excited! It was good that I didn’t give myself too much time to think about it because I definitely would have spent a stupid amount of money on outfits that I didn’t actually need.
Did you feel well prepared for your shoot?
Yes!
What were your feelings and emotions the day of your shoot? Before, during, and after?
Before I was just excited! During I was excited and feeling good and sexy and just wonderful and after I was on cloud nine!
How did you feel the day of your reveal? Before arriving to see your photos and when you saw them for the first time?
Oh em gee. I was shaking like a leaf and had butterflies in my tummy before the reveal. That was silly of me because HOLY CRAP I’m a smoke show!!! I was SHOCKED. The photos were amazing!!! I don’t know if it was the editing or the fact that I was really feeling myself during the shoot but WOW, Cat did an AMAZING job!
Do you feel or think differently about yourself after your boudoir shoot? If so, how?
UH YEAH. This body is a freaking temple!! I need to nourish it and love it and flaunt it and enjoy it! Before ya know it you’re 100 and you didn’t even get to show how freaking gorgeous you are!
Knowing what you know now, would you do it again? Would you have changed anything?
Again and again and again and I will tell my friends to do it and I will tell strangers on the street to do it. I wouldn’t change a thing. It happened how it did because it was supposed to and I am so at peace with that.
What do you feel other women need to know?
I feel other women need to know how beautiful they are through someone else’s eyes. They need to see themselves how others do. Or they just need to see themselves, period. Many of us avoid mirrors or photos because we don’t like the way we look, but we need to toss that thought out the window and celebrate us! We get one life and we deserve to enjoy it and embrace every inch of ourselves!
Anything else you would like to add?
I just truly absolutely loved this experience. It has done so much for me in so many ways. I can’t even begin to explain, but just know what Cat and all the gals at the studio are doing is a damn good thing!!
