Some people see vision boards as things or places we aspire to have and do, but I think they are so much more than that. I’m a firm believer that what we focus on, we create.
That’s why I love vision boards. They take your vision and focuses it into a physical representation of goals, hopes, and dreams. It puts it all out there, front and center. It’s a daily reminder of what you want and inspires you to START.
When you have this tangible thing to look at every day, it starts to change the way you think. We all want to live life with more intention, but that’s a big concept for our brains to take in. By breaking it down on a vision board, it allows you to start the sifting and sorting process that is the first step to reaching whatever goal it is you want to attain.
Think about them like this; when you get a new car, don’t you start noticing all the cars around you that are like yours? Those cars were always there, but your new focus on the car makes you notice them.
That’s exactly what a vision board can do for you. It will help you be more aware of your goals and inspire you to work towards them.
Plus, making Vision boards is so FUN. It’s soul-soothing work. It allows you to get back in touch with that creative side you had as a kid and probably don’t get to do enough of in your busy life. It’s like real-life Pinterest!
